Ironsides Shield is named after the U.S.S. Constitution, famous for such tough construction that enemy cannonballs bounced off her hull during the War of 1812. "Old Ironsides" was built from oak and pine, but our Ironsides is made from SUS304 blackened stainless steel. Slip Ironsides Shield over your Swampfox dot sight and install using the supplied extra-length screws. All shock forces from barricade racking, drop testing, and other impacts are routed around your Swampfox optic and straight to the mounting footprint area, protecting the scope inside. Ironsides Shield is cheap insurance for those who know their optics will have a harsh life of constant use and abuse.

Definitely a must have !
The design, fit and finish is A+. Looks aggressive and provides all around protection. It doesn't feel or look bulky when installed. If you own a swampfox this is a worth every penny !
